Emily’s 29th Surprise

Simon threw Emily a surprise birthday dinner for her 29th birthday. David, Zach, Bennet, Charlotte, Emily Black, and a few others were waiting at a restaurant in Red Bank, when Simon, Emily and I came in, and they all yelled surprise- Emily was very surprised to say the least. But that wasn’t the surprise…. She ordered her meal, and suddenly- the waiter began reciting a poem. she looked up, with the brightest eyes- in awe, and lost her breathe, then shouted in curse words and stood on her feet- she wrapped her arms around the waiter- ANDY! The best surprise of all! Simon, brought Emily Andy for her 29th birthday, and they sat next to one another the entire evening, arms wrapped through one another’s, eyes always engaged in one another’s, they spoke another language… old English maybe?. , quoting Shakespeare, back and forth, David and Zach , Andy and Emily, all night, the four of them… laughing uncontrollably. Then dinner ended, and Andy , Simon, Emily and  I went back to Simon and Emily’s apartment, Andy and I watched movies on Simons projector and he gave me great advice, he told me to laugh more. And always create. I’ll always remember the way Andy surprised Emily that night. The best surprise was witnessing the love and laughter they as siblings created.
